PAST SIMPLE
- We use the PAST SIMPLE to talk about completed actions in the past
- We form the past simple by adding -ed to the verb (in regular verbs)

SPELLING RULES
- If the verb ends in -e, we just ad -d
- If the verb ends in consonant-vowel-consonant, we double the last consonant before -ed
- If the verb ends in consonant + y , we change the y into i and we add -ed
